Assertion Failed!
#11
Hi guys. I used to play many games and everything was working fine, but suddenly some of the games started to crush. The games are Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne, Radiata Stories and Dragon Quest VIII. For example, when I boot Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne ISO, the company label appears, than another one and after the intro about to start the game crashes with a message outside of PCSX2:

Assertion Failed: FQC = 0 on VIF FIFO READ!

..\..\FiFo.cpp(47) : assertion failed:
Function: ReadFIFO_VIF1
Thread: EE Core
Condition: vif1Regs.stat.FQC != 0
Message: FQC = 0 on VIF FIFO READ!

With choices to close or ignore. If you press ignor, the same message comes.

On the PCSX2 screen you can see the same erro message as above and after that this lines comes out.

(EE pc:00135A1C) TLB Miss, addr=0x0 [load]
(EE pc:00135A64) TLB Miss, addr=0x0 [load]
(EE pc:00135A1C) TLB Miss, addr=0x0 [load]
(EE pc:00135A64) TLB Miss, addr=0x0 [load]

If I load the sstate before it crushes I still can play a little until again the same crush happens. I am playing on the modern laptop and beated many games without any problems. The speed is good.

Also I’ve been playing Digital Devil Saga with no problems at all and that is continuation of Nocturne.

Here is Marshmallows had the same problem in this topic, but he liked to have ISO disk problem, but mines are fine 100%, I’ve completed already a large part of those games

I’ve tried everything – to put everything on the safest mode, to swap all the plugins, including audio. I’ve downloaded the latest version and tried it from the very blank, but the same Error.

Really appreciate help!

please start your own thread, this one is 4 years old!

Also provide what version of PCSX2 you are using.
