Try the calibration anyway. It goes both ways as far as adjusting and it's the first step.

Your monitor response time doesn't mean anything btw. That's only for the physical switching of pixels, not the processing of CPU/GPU/monitor itself.

Not for a rhythm game lol

Calibrating didn't work. On this guitar hero, it's only visual. On 3 and above, there's audio and visual. And okay, thanks for the info, I didn't know response time didn't matter Tongue Sorta derped there.

Use timestretch, put the latency as low as itll go, then choose portaudio as your output module, hit "configure" and drag that latency bar right down as well, you should be pretty close then.

Also make sure you use MTVU speedhack to avoid lag spikes.

That may have helped a little bit but it still is noticeably behind :/ is that pretty much as much as I can do for it, though?

Well you could play it on your PS2 if it's like gamebreaking for you. Other than that, that's all I know of.

I used to play tons of Amplitude back on PS2. I've tried it several times in the emulator and the timing I just cannot get right. Not only is it different, it fluctuates since our emulator doesn't stay exactly at fullspeed but fluctuates by a few percent no matter your hardware. That's why I originally said in this thread that emulators and rhythm games really don't mix well.

I wanted to use PCSX2 as a way to read burned discs, not to pirate games, but so I could do custom songs for GH2 since the songs on there has gotten pretty bland. I went ahead and ordered GH3 for PC and will just do custom songs there, I suppose. Thanks for your help, everyone! Really appreciate it.

Nobody said anything about pirating @_@

There are ways to read burn discs on your PS2, you know. Maybe you could look in to that.

Yeah, you just need to know how to hot swap. I think a swap magic might work for that as well.
