Audio problem with Ar tonelico 2(SLUS 21788)[New one]
#11
I'm playing this game (just got past IPD searching tutorial) and doesn't have any audio garble problem, apart from the minor ones when switching to software mode and when using some multiple hit spell/attack.

Graphic-wise game also runs nicely except for in the world map where some textures seem to have gone missing.(software mode fix it but the letters will have artifact)

Then I guess I'm gonna root through my settings and see what''s up. Although they should be default.

Are you using the default audio settings?
Did you tried other output module?
Did you tried Async audio?

So anyway, async mixed solved it.

Now there is an ever so tiny little skip, but it's not really even noticeable.

I'm thinking about reripping my disc later, just to see though. I don't wanna dig it out now.

But just for the record, it also happens when I open the menu. And I was watching and the FPS drops from 60 to 52 for about half a second when I do. And the same when the character portraits first loads.

So NOW the real question is why is my FPS dropping to 52 on one of the easiest games there is to emulate? Both EE and GS stay at about 11% when it happens

Try SW mode. HW mode can get very slow in certain types of transitions.

Nice. That solved it. And since I was playing in native anyway with software filtering off... It's a win win.

Thanks!
