Just thought I would let people know that you can do a BIOS dump of a PS2 from a USB stick from the CD ISO image. I could not get my PS2 to read CDs or DVDs in ulaunchelf. This is how I did it, and may work for somebody else as it took me a while to get it to work properly. Btw I used an apple ipod shuffle as the usb stick for dumping the BIOS.
1st: Install freemcboot onto a memory card so that you have access to ulaunchelf (or find a method of running ulaunchelf via homebrew on the PS2).
2nd: Download and open the iso image. You can open the ISO using built in disk utility on mac os x or mount it via a program such as daemon tools on windows. Find the file biosdump v2.0.elf or the file with the similar filename and copy this to the USB memory stick (in my case the ipod shuffle).
3rd: plug in the USB memory stick into your PS2 and run ulaunchelf. Copy the biosdumpv2.0.elf file to the PS2 memory card. DO NOT RUN THE PROGRAM FROM THE USB STICK AT THIS POINT (i found this didnt work for me).
4th: Turn off the the PS2 and unplug the USB memory stick.
5th: Reload ulaunchelf and run the biosdumperv2.0.elf on the PS2 memory card. The program should run and prompt "Waiting for USB to be ready..."
6th: Plug in the USB stick and the BIOS should dump to the USB stick, prompting saying it is "DONE" when it is finished (I ran the PS2 for an extra 2 mins before turning it off to ensure it was done.)
Your PS2 BIOS should now be on the USB memory stick
Hope this helps someone else.
