It's an AMD.... I've no knowledge on turion's however.
Only AMD's I consider, are there newer stuff, Phenom II, Athlon II etc

I'd say, get a nice laptop with an Intel core 2 in it, clock speed of around 2.6GHZ if possible.

And if you need more power you can just upgrade processor to something like X9100 later

Well, it's the same as desktop in terms of "disassemble/remove/insert/assemble", but of course hardware costs somewhat more. X9100 costs around $350-400. But it's very good in terms of performance.

I think it was in regards to expanding your computer. It is much easier to swap out parts, GPU's, CPU's and what not for Desktops, then compared to a Laptop.

Because it's way easier to upgrade individual parts to keep pace with PC games?
