Bad performance on a good computer
#1
Problem: Emulator is lagging on Fatal Frame 3, Crash Twinsanity, Airblade, All burnouts (except 2 and 1) game. Speedhack makes game play at a half decent rate. Improves FPS also.

Same problems as described here

Thanks for helping.

8800gts is pretty weak from what I remember, so that's going to be a bottleneck.

I agree it's an older card, maybe 4-5 years old.

But it was able to play Diablo III, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 without problems and those games are using the latest particle and render effects.

It surely has enough CUDA cores to run a Ps2 emulator.
Plus the OP of the other thread was running a GTX 590 card.
much more powerful and these games were STILL playing in slow motion.

try using native mode, that videocard doesnt have alot of vram.
#5
the problem lies in your processor since pcsx2 loves intel more than amd...
#6
Pretty hard comparing games coded for PC and an emulator.

My only other guesses would be the CPU (AMDs are technically inferior) or the games just have low framerates right now. In the case of the latter, we may just have to wait. I don't play those games so I'm not 100% sure.

You meant to say

"the problem lies in the coding because it's not optimized"

But thats false too because the OP in other thread was using Intel Processor.

I'll try but I can let you know already it's not a problem with this video card.

If anything it's poor coding / no optimization for specific hardware configurations.

nope.
search benchmarks all through the web, intel CPUs generally hit better perofmrances than AMD ones.

anyways, in that case, since your GS% reaches 100%, it's more a gpu problem.
try using native res, or even try using software mode (F9 key)

DIablo II and COd MW3 are native PC games. Tell me you're not comparing them to emulation... because it would be a perfect nonsense...

Mobo : Asus PRIME B450-PLUS

Do you realize this emulator and these games are 10 years old?

I think you're talking a bunch of bull s### to act like you have the solutions and answers

It's funny you come here to put me down because your video card or whatever is better? You realize there was another thread exactly like this where the OP never got solutions and his computer was much better.

My computer has specs to blow any of this stuff out of the water
Even Crysis benchmark I can run at 30 FPS with high settings.

I don't need some know it all "IT pro" coming in here putting my hardware down.

I have my GTS8800 in this system because my GTX 560 TI was sent back for an RMA and my new cards are on back order.

So save me the sob story about my card being dated.
Thats not the problem here.

Proven by other OP having a GTX 590 and still having these issues.

P.S It's a problem with PCSX2

Wanna know how I know? Watch the Video I posted

I'm getting 30+ FPS with FRAPS checking. but the game is running like its slow motion.

Of course. And so what ?
did you at least try native res, software mode ?

Crysis is a PS2 game ? Since when ?
Don't come here looking for help if you don't accept what we have to say.

I suggest you simply stop using this emu and keep playing on your PS2 until you can get better hardware, since it seems to be a lot too complicated for you.
