The bios revision is not something to worry about, even with the 1.60 version, every games will work the same way on PCSX2.

ok.
I did some tests, and I found that the double screen was caused by the option "Internal Resolution", putting it higher caused the problem.
Another thing that I noticed, and that in the chat of the npc have disappeared the writings, how do I make them reappear?

It happens both with the software and hardware mode, I have verified, but only with the first, with the second chapter work.

Hmmm.
Do you get the same problem when booting the game on your real ps2 ?
Are you performing a fast boot or a full boot ?

On ps2 I have no problems, and I start with full boot, only the writings of the protagonist's answers appear.

Maybe and why it is the Pal version of the game, but it seems strange because it works without problems.

that's why i've been asking, since your PS2 is a US one, and your game a PAL one.
I guess you modded your PS2 to make it work, else it would have been region locked.

are you still upscaling, or keeping native ?

My console and PAL because I'm Italian.

With the native resolution I left it to "native x4", from there I did not touch it anymore because made me a double screen.

Using a BIOS file with PCSX2 which you have downloaded from the internet or from a PS2 console you do not own is illegal. You must own the console the BIOS file came from (even if it's broken) to be legal.
