How realistic is that though? If no one fixed it in 5 years what are the chances of that?

I wish Sony released both Norrath games as an HD collection where you can play the online mode via wi fi on your ps3...this is the perfect time to do that as HD collections and Diablo like games are big. These sold back in the day, they would probably sell even more today.

since I'm not one of the devs, I can't give you a precise answer.
That said, games using the snowblind engine weren't working at all a few weeks ago.
this has been finally fixed in pcsx2 core.
tri-ace games weren't working 3 years ago until one day, the tri-ace fix was implemented...
So yes, it may take time, but there's always hope.

After all we all have to keep in mind that this is "only" an emulator. You can still enjoy these games on your PS2 if you feel nostalgic until one day, Sony or pcsx2 team make it playable in full HD
