Berserk: Missing UI, Widescreen doesn't work

First of all, hello everyone. I apologize if this has been addressed before but I can't seem to find a solution on these forums or elsewhere. I'm completely new to PCSX2 and basically went through a crash course on everything. I'm making some progress getting things set up how I want.

I am using PCSX2 version 1.6.0
I'm trying to run Berserk: Millennium Falcon (v1.1) in 60 fps/ 16:9

I have two problems:

1. I was able to get 60 fps working. The problem I'm having is that in hardware mode, the UI (meter in the top left corner, button UI in the top right) is missing completely. In software mode, it re-appears but the game is running at a lower resolution so of course doesn't look as nice. Is there a fix for this while in hardware mode?

2. Widescreen isn't working at all (in either hardware or software mode). Even with "Enable Widescreen Patches" enabled, the game is still in 4:3 and looks stretched horizontally when I set the aspect ratio to 16:9.

- All of the contents of cheats_ws.zip have been extracted to the cheats_ws folder. I confirmed that I do have the folder that matches the game here.
- I've done a full ISO boot and the issue continues.

Any thoughts on this? I'm kind of a noob and don't know what I'm doing wrong. I'm on Windows 10. Thanks in advance!

Please post the contents of the emulog.txt file after the problem occurs. The file can be found in "My Documents\PCSX2\logs" for the installer version or in "PCSX2\logs" for the portable/binary version.

Thanks for the quick reply. I booted the game, started a new game, then played for about 30 seconds, then paused and shutdown the system.

1 - did you try ogl renderer ?
2 - why did you call it (1.1) ?
did you patch your iso ? because this could change the CRC and thus do more harm than good with a widescreen hack

I just tried OGL (good suggestion). Unfortunately it made no difference. In fact, the performance took a slight hit and the game dipped below 60 FPS a few times.

I'm using the fan-altered version of the game with English subtitles. Under ISO Selector, it shows the game as "Berserk - Millennium Falcon (Englishv1.1).iso"

I also want to add that the CRC matches what's found in the "cheats_ws" folder

that's probably why.
try without applying the translation patch. or directly with original PS2 disc
