Above configuration include good GPU, so you can run games in 4K. But just in case - turn it off "Texture Filtering of Display" in Config -> Video (GS) -> Plugin Settings... -> Shader Configuration.
That should be good CPU, but that AMD GPU though... gonna be forced to use DX Render which is less accurate vs OpenGL.

Yes, I forgot about that.

With 7th generation" console you talk about ps3, am I right? So it could be better a Ryzen 7 3700x, because 3660X is not enough?

Last question: so with an AMD cpu i can't use OpenGL?

PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Wii is also formally 7th generation console, but come on.

And Ryzen 7 3700x will be better in anyway, since it more actual CPU.

You will can't use OpenGL with AMD GPU, not CPU. And since OpenGL working more nice than DirectX 11, at least, in PCSX2 - better take Nvidia GPU.

aah ok, so it is better 3700X and RTX 2060 or 2060 Super so i can cover everything Smile

You can use AMD graphic cards with OpenGL.  There is just a performance penalty due to the poor windows driver OpenGL support.  So you will not get the same performance as an equal Nvidia GPU.

ah ok,
i checked the GPU specs https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/ra...5700.c3437 and OPENDGL are supported. The problem is only that there is a poor support from Windows for OpenGL driver for AMD GPU?

Last question: are you sure that WiiU emulator (CEMU) and PS3 emulator (RCPS3) needs more than 4/6 cores?

So they fixed it? Because my spare AMD GPU crashes the emulator when I try to start it in hardware or software OpenGL.

Just poor support of OpenGL by AMD.

I'm not sure. But extra, than needed for emulation, cores can work with necessary processes of operating system independent from cores, which using by emulator.

With CEMU and RCPS3 the more cores you have the better also it depends on what games you are playing. If you are playing a game like God of War 3 for example having more cores will help with the performance of that game and the same thing applies to Breath of the Wild on CEMU.
