#1
Sorry if I may be posting this at a wrong section or anything. I was just wondering if anyone could share their pcsx2 configurations with me, I know there are no perfect settings but I'd try. I also need configuration that works at a high FPS as well as stable graphics with Ratchet and Clank 3.

Specs:
Toshiba Satelite L775D - 10M
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
CPU: Intel core Llano A4 2.5 Ghz
Graphics Card: ATI Radeon 6480G 512MB
RAM: 4GB

This game has to be played in software mode and is very demanding and your system is too weak.

Try these things anyway:

Enable the MTVU speedhack.

Try enabling the EE Cyclerate Stealing speedhack. It helps a lot in this game.

You won't get good fps on that pc with hood graphics as it requires software mode to fix the distance textures, this even runs slow on my i7 920 @ 3.8Ghz

Yeah, like refraction and Donovan24 this game is extremely demanding. I could play just fine, but my system is also much faster than yours. Just stick to your ps2.

Yeah, R&C3 is really demanding.

My machine runs it pretty decently (I7 2600 3.4Ghz) with very little (but occasional) slow ups.

I prefer EE speedhack to be set to 2 (because 3 appears to be too choppy and I would rather have slowdowns than choppy gameplay) and software rendering threads set to 7 (8 threads on my CPU... I dont know if it helps at all but it doesnt seem to hinder the performance either)

VU cycle steal off.

The textures only get weird after a certain distance so if you can live with that, you can play the game no problem and finish it too.

That's basically the idea, my ps2 broke almost a year ago but I was able to get a hold of It's BIOS. I'm saving money so I can't afford wasting any to repair it, the graphics on the game don't have to be really good just average. Thanks for the replies and I'd appreciate more.

The isn't really much more to say, you can try the things I suggested but at the end of the day you won't get playable speeds with that system.

Actually, during some modifications I've had a lot of significant FPS increases, I just need the perfect configuration. It seems as if I just disable F9 the speed goes back to completely normal and the game is completely playable, but the graphics are bad.

Well tell us when you find the perfect configuration. Hardware mode will be faster.
