I'm upgrading a computer for someone and I need it to play all the Sly Cooper games at least at full speed. I upgraded it with a spare GPU I had, but I'm nore sure if the GPU or the CPU is the cause of the slowdowns. Here are its current specs:
Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
Intel Core i7-860 @ 2.90 GHz (8 CPUs)
16 GB DDR3 RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 745
Samsung EVO 860 SSD (500 GB)
All drivers and updates are up-to-date. I'm using hardware rendering and getting 60%-70% speed when a lot is rendered. Software mode is even slower, but it would be with any Sly Cooper game. My personal Intel Core i7-6700K can't handle Sly Cooper games using software rendering.
So which do I need to upgrade, the CPU or the GPU?
