Big Performance Issues
#1
I've been trying to use PCSX2 for a while, and it has very inconsistent performance. Recently, I've been having a lot of problems running MGS2. I know the game is very demanding, but I thought that I could at least get some decent emulation. I've also just had general slow speeds with other games I've played. I tried so many different combinations of settings, and nothing seemed to really work that well besides just playing in software mode. I've even tried things to help with the performance of my actual computer, like not having apps run on startup. I thought my system met the requirements, but apparently it has a hard time running even at 720p. Here's my specs (it's a laptop btw):

Device name DESKTOP-HEQUCF9
Processor Intel® Core™ i7-10510U CPU @ 1.80GHz  2.30 GHz
Installed RAM 12.0 GB (11.8 GB usable)
Device ID B325C802-133C-4B1D-8086-9E9E45F05890
Product ID 00325-96759-29628-AAOEM
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Pen and touch Pen and touch support with 10 touch points

I just want to know if it is even possible to run games smoothly at at least 720p so I can just stop wasting all of this time trying to get it to work if it really can't. Any help would be appreciated.

Intel® UHD Graphics

It's the base GPU that came with the laptop. Says it has 6170 MB of memory if that helps.

Ok. If you don't have a dedicated GPU, you'll have a hard time running mGs2. That's why it's better in software mode.
Nothing you can do apart from getting a decent GPU and/or play on your real PS2
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Mobo : Asus PRIME B450-PLUS
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
RAM : 16 Go
