Black Screen + Audio in game (has visual for copyrights and logos but not in game)

Pretty much what the title says, I load my game (Spyro - Enter the Dragonfly) and there are visuals for the company logos, copyrights and a loading screen but as soon as the main menu comes on there is sound but no visual at all. None of the allocated buttons work either even though I know they work on other games.

I have PCSX2 1.2.1 (latest version), the latest version of Direct X and my graphics are perfectly fine (I can run other games on the same emulator just fine.

I haven't downlaoded any extra plugins for PCSX2 yet as SO FAR it was working fine, if there's one that will fix my problem please pass it through.

I should probably add that this is the only game where I have this issue and in desperation I have downloaded both the US and Europe version of the game; both with the same problem
