You could try sawing off the sides of your monitor, or zoom in. Whichever you feel more comfortable with.

Playing in window??

1. set your aspect ratio to 16:9
2. put something like 1280x720 or any else that corresponds 16:9 ratio in custom window size
3. press OK, restart PCSX2 and boot your game

Playing in Fullscreen??

1. set your aspect ratio to 16:9
2. press Alt+Enter

still getting fatty characters??? that's forgiven...just live with it Laugh

or use zoom function like avih said...

You'll have to live with that black bars if you want to mantain the aspect ratio. There isn't any widescreen hack (Project64 and Dolphin have it), so unless the game has a 16:9 option (like FFXII or DQVIII), you have two options:
- Black bars (it isn't a bad thing in my opinion).
- Fat graphics.
