You're the one being immature almost demanding the devs to report to you and to fix your problems. Be happy this emulator even exists for free and stop whining. We already gave you a nice workaround and you still whine because the resolutions are not high enough for your taste.

Upscaling was never meant to be used on PS2 games, thus you get upscale bugs like the horizontal lines. It's expected behavior really and should not be considered a 'bug' since applying upscaling is NOT accurate emulation in fact. Since it works fine in native, the emulator does it's job properly.
x4 and a custom resolution are practically very close. Since the game's native resolution is 640x512 4x scaling gives you: 2560x2048. So just find a custom internal res close to this number that works without the lines...

Hi guys, sorry to bump up this topic but i tried to use the trick of 1200x1200 and also 1080x1980, but the lines are still there.

using pcsx2-5627-windows-x86 with the PAL version of SOULCALIBUR 2

Are you using any GSdx HW hacks? Allow 8-bit textures? If so try disabling them

Uh you DO realize you are using 1024x1024 and NOT 1200x1200 or 1080x1980 right...?

1200 * 1200
1080 * 1980
1080 * 1080
1600 * 1600
900 * 1600

Just a note, 1080x1920, 1200x720 and 1200x1920 doesn't work on Soul Calibur games on some graphic cards. They work on Tekken but not on Soul Calibur.

Have you tried messing with TC offset settings. I dont have any Namco games other then the Xenosaga series but that series has horizontal And other oddlines that dont belong there and messing around with TC offset fix's it

Like Xenosaga 2 has bar going across the menu that is goes away by using the noted fix for xenosaga 2 in tc offset that fixs hair in cut scenes.

Hi folks.

Run across the same issue. Just to make sure I understand - trying to run Tekken 5 -

so max width = 1200??

Anything above that will result in black stripes?

Ran @ 1920x1200 and looked soooooo sweet! (apart from the bars)

looks like key figure is width? The height presumably is scaled from that?

Cheers
