Bluetooth adapters for PS4?

Hello I want to buy a bluetooth adapter, and I want to make sure its compatible and works with the DS4 controller. What are some adapters that are known to work witht he controller? I would appreciate any recommendations.

I'm on windows 8.1 and using a Kinivo BTD-400 adapter. So far I am unable to even have my DS4 controller show up in windows. I've heard others have had great success on Windows 8/8.1 with this adapter but I guess I'm one of the unlucky ones. I know it does work as my phone pairs and connects just fine.
