Blurry graphics and character models

Hi i just recently downloaded pcsx2 and have been playing ps2 games straight from the cd.. now as i am playing the quality of the graphics is very blurry and at times some of the character models are all funny (see here http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/249/blurry.png/) is there anyway to fix this?

• Your hardware specs - CPU, Graphics Card, Memory, Operating System.
  
• The version of PCSX2 you are using.
  
• Any non default settings you are using.
