Blurry screen
#1
Hello everyone,

I'm coming for help because after some research I can't find a solution to my problem ...

I saw some threads on google about that but nothing helped me to resolve my issue. As you can see below, there's a "blur" at any distancen even on the brand of the car or on the plates.

It's playable but after few minutes it start to become unconfortable. I know PS2 is pretty old gen but after watching some GT4 videos about improved/remastered version I can see great improvement on the graphics which I obviously can't apply on my game. I have the v2.2 of the retexture mod from GTAFAN.

I'm running the latest version of PCSX with the US v01.6 BIOS version (for the US version of GT4). For the hardware, I have i7-9700K / 32go / RTX 3060Ti so I don't think it's the cause. I also tried with older version of PCSX but the problem is still the same. Even with an vanilla EU version of the game I have the same issue.

I try several setting following what I saw on YT but even with that, I still have the problem. You'll see below screens of my setting.

I've tried to change those setting but still goes wrong.

Anyone have a solution for that ?

Thank you by advance !

Why do you have a PAL and NTSC version of this game and where did you get both versions?

I know I should use OpenGL or Vulkan (all the config videos I've seen said the same) but I have big FPS drops in the menu with OpenGL so I stopped using it. And Vulkan I don't remember why. I've just tried again with OpenGL, I still have those drops but during race it's smooth at 60 FPS. But the "blur" problem is still here no matterthe renderer I choose.

I don't understand your question. Right now I'm running a US (NTSC) version of the game, not PAL.

since you are touching settings you have no idea about, just reset pcsx2 to default settings

I've just tried to restore default setting + aspect ratio to 16:9 and the internal resolution to 2K but it still the same.

I've made 2 screens to see the differences :
What I have
[Image: 1684831778-a.jpg]

What I would like to have (screen from a 2K video on YT)

For example, on the first screen we can't clearly read "michelin" on the rear bumper, it's like we have water in the eyes but on the second screen there's no problem.

I can't post a link ... It's from Rowdy channel on YT, the video name is "Gran Turismo 4 Retextured Mod | 4K60 Showcase, Review, and Shader Setup".

(it's from an old version of PCSX + reshade mod, I tried also but nothing as sharp as he have on the video).

And for the emulog.txt, how can I have it ?

tools->enable file logging
then you play , close pcsx2, and get the log in your pcsx2 root dir/logs
don't reopen pcsx2, else it'll clear it
