Bootng PS2 bios?

This only applied to new SVNs, but it's curious. Why does it take so long to fast boot now? I watched the text and it states "loading (or booting) Ps2 bios before it ever loads the game. Why is that?

There was some redesign of the fastboot, i think we ended up loading more of the BIOS to initialize stuff than it use to, which helped compat on a few games. Its not exactly a big inconvenience, it's still way faster than watching the BIOS intro.

That's true, I was just wondering what the deal was with it. (and thought I screwed up something perhaps)
