Brand new, need some help

Sorry, I don't know if this is a frequent question or not, but I couldn't find help anywhere else.
I have a game I want to run, but whenever i click RUN under OPEN, it goes through the bios just fine, and then the bios says that I need to "Insert a Playstation or Playstation 2 Format Disk". How do I resolve this?
