[Bug Report] Dot Hack Infection [NTSC]
#1
  • Pcsx2 version
    svn 1104
  • Cpu options selected
    everything on
  • Plugins used
    GSDX 0.1.15 r1076
    Linuz Iso CDVD 0.8.0
    SPU2-X 1.1.0
    LilyPad 0.10.0 r1034
  • Description of the bug and how to replicate it
Pcsx2 hangs a few seconds after I enter the capital city.
On the log, I get the same message each time :
    <EE> Tlb Miss, addr = 0x40 [load]
Turning EERec off in the CPU options solves the problem but the game is horribly slow (60fps => 20fps).

Ok first, there is no playground anymore since the 2 teams merged...so I guess you are using the latest SVN.
Did the game work properly at that point in some older version?
Can you provide a memcard close to the crash area?

Sorry it's the latest SVN, I edited my post Happy.

The game doesn't hang in svn894 but it does in svn988.
Here is my memcard http://www.easy-share.com/1904935611/Mcd002.ps2.

Apparently the same issue happens in other Dot Hack games => http://forums.pcsx2.net/thread-6330.html

Hm ok now try finding in which revision exactly it got broken. We need the best estimate you can do,so check revisions between 894 and 1059 until you narrow it down or at best find the exact revision it stops working. That would be a great help

It works in svn894 but it breaks in svn940.
That's the best I can do for now Closedeyes.

This sounds like it could very well be a bug in the new x86 Emitter. The emitter was started on r917, and has several updates up to ~r930. But yea, an exact revision for the cause of the bug would be terribly helpful, because there could be so many possibilities for emitter bugs.

The game works in svn928. So the problem happens between svn928 and svn940.

can you compile 933 and 934? seems to be some VTLB changes on there

#9
I know how to compile the latest svn but I don't know how to compile previous versions Sad .
#10
if you are using tortoise svn, right click in a space of the folder you have the svn in, go to "Tortoise SVN >" then choose "Update to revision" then type 933 in the box, that will revert all your code to that version
