After about 20% of the game, when I try to go to an activation zone and I press the up arrow (to start the race or enter a garage) and then press triangle, the game automatically softlocks and drops my FPS to 7%...
The game works normally if I go around the city or if I challenge someone to a race, but if I try to enter somewhere or try to save, the game crashes (even with the performance at minimum)

you don't have a real gpu ?
as a side note : this is quite a weak cpu for pcsx2, and especially intensive games like NFS series
this + low end integrated gpu.
I don't think you'll get good results whatever you do. play on, your real ps2 until you can afford a suitable computer
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Mobo : Asus PRIME B450-PLUS
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
RAM : 16 Go

yet my game ran perfectly without lag and I could play normally like on a real PS2 and I was able to put the graphics in 4K with a hardware rendering withouy the slightest problem or loss of FPS. Only after a while when I wanted to enter my garage the game immediately crashed while it was running very well, so I wanted to know if it was due to the emulator (I know that some emulators can crash because of bad code or a bad relationship with the ISO)
you could start by verifying your game.
and post an emulog to analyse crash
Check Tools > Enable File Logging. If it is already checked, ignore this step.
If you ticked the box in the above step, restart PCSX2.
Click Tools > Open Data Directory to jump to your PCSX2 folder.
Reproduce your issue.
Close PCSX2, and do not open it again.
Go back to your PCSX2 folder. Open the logs folder, and upload the emulog.txt file to this channel.
