MTVU both off and on tested.


This occurs SOMETIMES in the Daidoiji Residence when going right: (towards a story point)

This error occurs randomly, so it is very hard to determine when it will strike. here is a picture of the area, it's about 5 mins into the game: (red box upward will trigger the scene change, the 1.2.1 stable doesn't seem to have this issue at all)

you realize how many I have to search to find this? not to mention it is not a 100% "going to happen" thing once you get there (which thankfully, is not far)

Well how to solve it if it is not even reproduicble enough to find the regression?

Also binary search of 1000 revisions would require 10 tests. 2000 revisions only one more. I don't know how many revisions happened since the latest stable but I think you already validated the issue several times. Adding another 10 trials could help solving the problem.

So first step: try to find the revision approximately in the center of the latest stable and the current git release.

I am hoping someone (who does the coding) can narrow it down a bit, so I'm not searching thousands of revisions

The binary search method enables you to quickly narrow it down even if there are thousands of revisions. The number of revisions is not the problem. The fact that the bug doesn't always occur is the problem.

pick a revision, any, preferably a few hundred commits ago, give it a try, if it doesn't work still, try a few hundred more commits, if it works, pick the one in the middle, just keep halving it each time until you find where it went wrong,

I think it has been fixed i'm not getting it on the latest git build or the build i am currently using pcsx2-v1.3.1-1218. went through that area just fine but i will be sure to test out some more builds.

It only seems to triggers in a fraction of times you try it. Have you tried to reproduce it more than once?

Okay so i have been through this area 10 to 12 times still nothing. I'm using the build that fixes Gregory Horror Show by the way. I will test some more this afternoon.
