Nope. Timing is handled by certain code in the emulator. Even if you are running 400% speed, the timing will still be correct(relative to the faster speed).

The only time I know of it causing a problem is with a handful of games when audio is set to async. But that causes a different type of error. It wouldn't cause TLB miss I am pretty sure.

Thank you very much, that seemed to work. Though now I'm always fearful it shall happen again. Lost over 30 levels on some characters, and the recruitment of two. Well anyway thanks again.

Just save a real save as often as possible. That's the best you can do.
