I think I know what's causing the game to freeze, too - attached is the log.  Apparently it cannot find a couple of files:

That the game freezes is new, or?

How can one reproduce the freeze? Is the freeze permanent or just for a couple of frames? If it is not permanent how often does the freeze occur and is it triggered by something?

The freeze causes the game to lock up and crash. it stays frozen at one frame for about 60 seconds before crashing. and yes, I know there are two different versions of this game - the European version and the USA version. I have not tried the USA version.

Is the freeze reproducible? Or does it happen randomly?
