So where is this "powerhouse" you speak of? I got all excited for a minute then walk into this mess.

It's a cheap powerhouse. Glare

Also, I'll build both rigs and let's see how things go. I know I have gotten negative feedback here, but I'm almost positive that I can get (mostly) all of these games to work perfectly on the specs I listed.

It's just a matter of who will call fake when I upload videos (Wacko), but we'll see, I suppose. I hate misinforming people that they need much more than what's truly necessary to get games working, so I think starting a YouTube channel and showing the bare-minimum of specs necessary to run certain games would be great. I could also maybe show overclocking and the differences between stock and overclock (for example, that Core 2 Duo I listed can go to 4 GHz (and more) easily, which would enable a wider array of games to work full-speed).

Anyone think it'd be cool if I did that? I have like nearly 100 PS2 games to try.

EXTRA:

As for the comments about Metal Gear Solid 2, I just Googled and found a video of it working near perfect (45-60 FPS baseline) on an Intel Core 2 Duo T9300 @ 2.8 GHz, which is pretty much the same crap as the "toaster rig" I mentioned above (it was using a GeForce 9500M GPU though).

Gran Turismo 4 has been shown to work perfect if using a Core 2 Duo as well, but definitely OC'ed to 4 GHz (E8xxx series or Core 2 Quad, perhaps) and with a GPU similar to the one I listed in my not so impressive "powerhouse rig". I don't mean to condescend here or anything, but it seems some people around here greatly over-estimate the hardware needed for some games (like I read somewhere that you need an i5-4670K to run FFX. LOL. People have videos playing this on E4xxx C2D under 2.2 GHz fullspeed).

Here's FFXII running flawlessly on a 2010 MacBook Pro (Core 2 Duo 2.4-2.6 GHz type; Nvidia GPU):

Gran Turismo 4 on OC'ed C2D E8xxx perfectly:

Metal Gear Solid 2 running close to perfect (some hangs that could be adjusted) on a C2D:

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City running practically flawless on a C2D E7400 (stock) w/Nvidia GPU:

Also, KH2 pretty much perfect on a C2D E7500 @ 2.93 GHz:

ok, so let's sum it up :
you're asking for advices, people give you advices, and you say everyone is wrong.
Plus, to back your statements up, you post YT videos showing games running on pcsx2 0.9.5 to 1.0. (As everyone knows, anterior versions will probably be faster, but less accurate)

wonderful.

The useless trolling thread ends here.
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Mobo : Asus PRIME B450-PLUS
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
