Built-in Recorder Issues
#1
So I did some reading on the built-in recorder and how in the output video it eliminates frame drops and such that are present during gameplay. This does indeed seem to be the case, but I'll be damned if it isn't cutting game speed by more than half. It's nearly unplayable... Now I know I've been able to use OBS to record lossless video footage of emulators like Dolphin without the emulator slowing down at all, so is this normal?

I tried a few different codecs. They all seem to produce the same crazy slowdown. Lagarith doesn't even output an audio file for whatever reason...

I'm guessing you're recording uncompressed and it's slamming the ***** out of your hdd

Well, I tried running the emulator and game on my SSD while recording to my HDD and then the opposite, but that didn't make any difference. Do you have a codec recommendation maybe?

I have to turn the bitrate down to the point where artefacts are so bad that it isn't even worth capturing. Even then, the emulator still has hiccups. Ah, well. I'll just capture the same way I capture other emulators.
