PC Specs:

CPU: Intel Core i5 2500K @ 4.3Ghz
GPU: Nvidia Geforce 9800 GTX+

Build Description: PCSX2 1.0.0 Release Pack - Windows
If other please specify: N/A

BIOS Used: Europe v01.70(27/02/2003) Console

EE/VU Clamp modes: Normal/Normal
EE/VU Rounding: Chop/Chop

Speedhacks Used:
Recommended,MTVU

Gamefixes Used:
N/A

Amount of testing done (little/medium/much/completed-game):
Much

Comments:
Very CPU and GPU intensive (my 9800GTX can only do up to 2x without slowdowns).
I hate racing games but this is something else! So much fun, one of my favorite PS2 games and my favorite racing game Laugh

Speed: 60 FPS

Bugs:
  • Purple windows/bottom of cars: Occurs when you boot the game using Boot (full) because it tries to boot in wide screen mode. Fix: Boot the game using Boot (fast)
  • Black sky: Sky is black in race. Workaround:Boot the game using software mode of GSdx, get in a race, exit back to menu then switch back to hardware renderer by pressing F9. Until you restart PCSX2 again, the sky will be blue, albeit a bit bugged Smile
  • Very CPU/GPU intensive: Set skipdraw to 2 in GSdx to gain some FPS, but you WILL LOSE reflections/blur effects
  • White vertical lines: Your game CRC is not included in the GSdx hacks, submit it to the team to get it included. Until that happens, you can get rid of them by setting skipdraw to 3 but you will lose some effects like reflections/blur

FYI: I happened to get a physical copy and a PS2 for Christmas last year, but until I get the lens fixed, I'll have to use PCSX2 for the time being.

PC Specs:

CPU: AMD E2-7110 APU
GPU: Integrated AMD Radeon R2 Graphics

Build Description: PCSX2 1.4.0 (I dunno what to put here)
If other please specify: N/A

BIOS Used: USA 2.00

EE/VU Clamp modes: None
EE/VU Rounding: Default

Speedhacks used:

Aggressive Plus preset
Gamefixes used:

Automatic, so I dunno the specifics.

Amount of testing done (little/medium/much/completed-game): Little (did one race and that was it)

Comments:

It was playable and Async Mix worked perfectly, but it felt like I was driving at 40 miles an hour.

Bugs:

Sky was completely black.

Nightly (1.7.5180)

The Automatic Fix has two settings that are wrong when using the latest nightly build.

According to the yaml the automatic fix is setting a VU clamp mode edit (vuClampMode: 3 # Fixes buggy lighting in the garage), and it is using the GPU CLUT setting (gpuTargetCLUT: 1 # Fixes sun penetrating bridges.)

I've just tested for hours and the VU clamp doesn't need to be changed from default, and it's the Software CLUT Render setting at 1 (Normal) that fixes the sun bugs.

GPU Target CLUT can be Disabled (Default)

All the other settings in the Automatic Fix seem to be correct though.
