Judging by the logs you posted, it looks like the problem is in your BIOS file. Does it work with other games?
Also you can try to load the PS2 Setup screen: run PCSX2; click CDVD->No disc menu; click System->Boot CDVD (full) menu; and see if it works OK.

On the mac version it's "Run Bios (no disc)" to run the PS2 setup screen. And I agree, something wrong with the BIOS.

pretty sure you're missing your ps2's bios

Thank you very much for pointing me in the right direction. i have obtained my PS2 bios, and i managed to run Dirge of Cerebus =) but now the sound is not in sync with the graphics, the graphics is lagging slightly (Frames per second keeps dropping), and the right speaker is echoing the left speaker. please help!

Uncheck all of your sound plugin config boxes including the recommended ones and turn your dock hiding on. Other than that it might be either your computer's specs or the game is too much for PCSX2 Mac to handle.

You also can mess around with the speed hacks and advanced settings, but I haven't had much luck there. For some reason whenever I start messing around with those settings the PCSX2 screen goes and stays black and I have to reinstall PCSX2.

running lion osx is also helpful and ensuring you video settings are at a level your machine can handle.
