CPU Instruction Sets on Linux

What shell are you using?

I had this error on FreeBSD, but that was because I didn't have bash (or a shell that supports the same syntax extensions) installed.

Sigh. It is a shame I accept a PR that ported the code to bash. I was sure that it would create issues.

Latest git will work with more shell (if you don't use fancy options and you shouldn't)

I didn't consider compiling all the plugins to be fancy Tongue Maybe ill reload kubuntu and give it a whirl

Well it is fancy because various plugins are deprecated. The only exception are potentially the CDVD plugin that don't have a full alternative solution. Otherwise standard plugin are the best (on linux).

Oh I guess I should have picked my words more carefully, I didn't mean ALL the plugins, just the gsdx plugins for the various cpu extensions Tongue

Oh, but you don't need an option for that. If you do a manual build, it will automatically pick up, the best instruction set for your CPU.

Edit: but it will still be an useful option to distribute multiple binaries.

Well this is an excellent learning experience for me. I got it to compile successfully but it skipped building most of the program/plugins because of unmet dependencies... Now I have to figure out why it's not picking them up because I was looking in synaptic and I think I do have them all installed. Maybe I'm just dumb and the things I think they're supposed to be are actually supposed to be something else or maybe the versions in the repos aren't new enough (I've had that problem with Mint before Tongue )
