CPU/Ram + PS2 Pad

Hey, I have a couple questions.

In a couple of weeks I am going to be receiving my Core i5, MSI CD53 and 4GB (2x2GB) 1600MHz Corsair memory.

Upgrading from a Core 2 Duo E6750 3.4GHz, 2GB (2x1GB) Corsair 800MHz.

Will I notice any performance enhancement? Is there a big difference between 2GB and 4GB and Core 2 Duo to i5?

My other question.

I purchased a PS2 - PC USB adaptor - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?V...0329647356 and I just wanted to ask if it should be okay and what Plugin should I use, Lilypad or SSSPX Pad?
