I'll do the program GUI translation and then update my guide. That way my guide can be more "readable" by a Portuguese (European) non advanced guy =p

I think that would be for the Guide v0.9.8 in future, not for the guide v0.9.7.

EDIT:
I tested The GUI Translation is not available for 0.9.7 3878 which is used in the Guide v0.9.7.
At least available on 0.9.7 4066 corresponds to the version of POT files.

mine isn't perfect so yours should be the preferred one. I did mine just for funBiggrin I don't care!

Thanks for your work anyway.
I'll go over yours and see which is better.
I can also merge them a bit and pick the better fitting translation for an item Smile

It doesn't show the translated command line sentences(displaying orginal English text) in PCSX2 Commandline Options dialog, while other parts of translation so far are displaying correctly. tested with pcsx2-r4070 and pcsx2-r4076.

Run "pcsx2.exe -h" from Command Prompt, this will launch PCSX2 Commandline Options dialog for preview.

The command line sentences started from "All options are for the current session only and will not be saved.\n" in the main pot.

The Browse... button(CDVD => Iso Selector => Browse...) and its description in Status Bar can't be translated, displaying original English text even though you translated them.

pcsx2/gui/AppRes.cpp:71
Code:
Menu->Append( MenuId_IsoBrowse, _("Browse..."), _("Browse for an Iso that is not in your recent history.") );

This translation is from the main POT file, tested with pcsx2-r4076.

lack of all 5 permanent confirmation buttons in main POT.
The list of buttons: OK, Cancel, Apply, Yes, No.

Code:
msgid "&OK"
msgstr ""

msgid "&Cancel"
msgstr ""

msgid "&Apply"
msgstr ""

msgid "&Yes"
msgstr ""

msgid "&No"
msgstr ""

About my translation:

I'm not a fan of anglicism so I tried to translate everything I knew a German equivalent for. I'm not happy with all of it. For example 'Wähler' for 'Selector' that's actually not wrong but sounds very strange in this sense. And for some other words there just aren't any equivalents (Plugin, Frame skipping, well Frame skipping may be 'Bildüberspringung' but I never heard of that).
Patches, Fixes and Cheats could be translated to Pflaster, Fixierung und Schummlei but in everyday language the English words are used. Words like hack, hardware and software have found their way into German dictionaries. Seems like nobody ever tried to translate them and just took them as they were.Glare

That's one thing i like about French, they create for everything new wordsSmile

Hah.
Well, I'm the contrary then. I use anglicism freely in my PCSX2 translation.
Patches are "Patch"es and FPS stay "FPS".

This is because many people will recognize these terms.
They'll find them in the PCSX2 context a lot as well. (Think looking up PCSX2 on googlecode or our forums.)
I think it's good practice to keep using the original (english) terms when translating technical stuff like this.

We know about the bugs but thanks. They'll get fixed soon.

FWIW, I'd choose the term that's used most in a language by the people intended to read the text, and if most don't known the term, then the one which the professionals use.

I'll check Pcsx2's Googlecode for updates every now and then, until posting any new problems. Smile
