Can´t activate widescreen patch

Hi I can´t activate widescreen patch in any game.I press the option but nohing changes .

please tell me if I doing something wrong.

Same for me, none of the patches work in any game and on 16:9 ratio all the games get stretched, but Pcsx2 saying that all the patches are active
For example "Haunting Ground". 2 patches are active: First is widescreen(first image), second video without black bars, none of them work sadly

Most patches are made to run when activated, but some games require you to enable them before starting, if they are activated during the game you have to restart for the changes to take effect. This is probably the issue, if it still doesn't work then the problem is with the patch.
