Can not select any GS Plugin
#1
Hey everyone
I am trying to get pcsx2 to work on the latest Xbmcbuntu (based on Ubuntu 14.04) but
unfortunately the GS field of the first time configuration is blank and I am not able to select something.
I installed via the ppa and tried both unstable and stable version but it didnt make any difference.

CPU/GPU: Intel® Core™ i3-4130 Processor / Intel® HD graphics 4400

Any help would be greatly appreciated Smile

Here is the output of emuLog.txt

Did you try to install a 32 bits GPU drivers (i.e. mesa)

Hey,
Thank you for your answer Smile

Actually I didnt know if a 32bit driver was installed during the installation of pcsx2 but trying to install one (by apt-get install libgl1-mesa-dri:i386) tells me that I have the latest version installed.

Hum that strange, the error message that it can find the libGL.so.1 library.
try this one, sudo apt-get install libgl1-mesa-glx:i386

Check also that file /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libGL.so.1 exists. (try "ldd /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libGL.so.1" on it)

gives me the same output as libgl1-mesa-dri:i386

Can you do this 2 things.
1/ go to the plugins dir and use this command on the GSdx plugin
Quote:ldd libGSdx-0.1.16.so
2/ same for the libgl directory
Quote:ldd /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libGL.so.1

Sorry I was in a hurry yesterday and completely missed the ldd part.
Ran the commands and felt like a complete idiot. (output was that libGL was not found)
Forgot to symlink to the libs (and I even read this thread with a similar problem but I guess it was too tired when I read it to get that it was relevant for my problem too)

Created the missing links and everything is working as it should.
Sorry for wasting your time and thanks for the help Smile

Hum, normally you don't need to symlink the library. Somethings isn't configured right. Anyway it works that the most important. Enjoy it Smile
