Can only walk in Xenosaga III?

I started playing Xenosaga III on PCSX2, and I was running around the game just fine. A whole bunch of cut scenes and battles happened, and, after I arrived on Fifth Jerusalem, I can only walk. I looked in another thread about Xenosaga III, and another person was having the same issue. Is there any way to fix this? I don't want to have to walk through the entire game! Thanks.

When I played the game, there was a bug that if you suspend and resume emulator a few too many times the characters would switch from running to walking. Restarting the emulator and loading from memcard fixes it.
