Can someone help me figure this iso issue, please?

Hello:
Ok im completely new to the pcsx2 emulator .I do have a perfectly working ps1 emulator so im familiar with the routine of getting bios, plugins, proper set up etc etc. I downloaded the pcsx2 0.98 version a few days ago and followed the configuration guide. At the moment i have 2 iso files ,Kingdom Hearts and Dark Cloud .For the iso's i obviously chose linuz iso plugin. So i used the iso selector on the cddvd tab and i searched my iso files and selected them and the emulator does absolutely nothing with the iso's.I searched the web for many opinions on the configuration ,i tryed them but still same exact problem,as far as system requirements for what i could understand the only thing im lacking is probably a more powerful processor but i dont think that would be an issue where the emulator will do absolutely nothing with the games. At the end of the pcsx2 log everytime i try to run an iso it shows the message "Hotswapping to new iso src image" but then nothing happens. Here is a copy of the pcsx2 log when im trying to load an iso :

Lol, after you select your iso you must go to first menu and fast boot or full boot, then the emulator will run the iso.

*facepalm* Try using the built in iso reader instead of the plugin that should clear the whole mess up.
