Can't get HDMI to work from laptop to TV

Hey everyone I'm very new to the emulating world but super excited found out about it and want to play my PS2 games on my TV with those beautiful graphics ! Is it possible to HDMI from my laptop to my 4K TV ? I tried doing it when I had a game loaded but instead of the game appearing on my TV, the TV showed the laptop desktop instead even though my laptop screen was showing PCSX2 booted up on the screen. Is there a way around this or am I doing something wrong ? Please help

Have you tried pressing the „⊞ Win + P“ (Windows key + P) on your keyboard and then setting the display to „Duplicate“?
