Can't get Hokuto no Ken (Fist of the North Star) fighting game to run at decent speed

I see. So what would be the minimum power for my CPU to run Hokuto no Ken at anormal speed?
I'm not too tech-savvy, but it says in the dxdiag screen that my CPU is an Intel Core 2 [email protected] Ghz (2 CPUs). Souldn't 2 CPUs be enough to run a 2D game like this?
Aaargh, I've been trying to play this game forever, and btw since I'm in Europe and my PS2 was european, the game wasn't available for it, as it was a Japan-only release!
