Can't get PCSX2 to run on win8 rtm

As the title of the thread says.
I run it and nothing happens, it goes by so fast, no process nothing.
Tried running in compat mode, etc.
Also tried the last rev I had PCSX2 0.9.9.r5128, the same prob.

I've tried a few other games with no probs, even for the heck of it tried zsnes win, worked fine.

Oh yeah, there's probably some package I'm missing...
Anyone remember what those might be?
I know I don't have .net installed, I'm kinda hoping I don't need that...

Have you installed DX update (haven't used 8 yet but I doubt MS change its way of not including their older DX update on their newest OS) and Visual C++ Redistributable 2010?

A little bit ago I installed vc 2008 sp1 (2010 lol, I'm out of the loop ...).
I forgot it's something I usually install before tweaking.
No fix.

Directx was updated from the get go.
It comes with an old one still ^^, had to use the june 2010 dx redist.

Specs in my sig are outdated...

I didn't install .net, forgot all about it.
I use win7 embedded and I use a templete and work from there...
Surprisingly enough the win 8 ent x86 rtm vlk did not have .net v2-3.5 installed by default.
I don't have a copy either, not sure if it'll install now, but I have all but my user reg hive backed up so I could back track on my config and get it installed.
Maybe lol...

I haven't installed physx either but I know I only have a few games that need that, I can install it in a sec.
I know that won't do nothing for pcsx2 though.

I'm betting it's .net :\.
Hmm, I should probably sleep on that one lol.
I'll see if it installs though.

Just tried using the stand alone installer of pcsx2, installed to a generic c:\ location.
Noticed it had vc 2010 sp1...
It runs, my other (good one) install runs now too.

I swore I had been using 2008 sp1 for ever...
Maybe some game updated it and I didn't notice, I don't know, whatever.

So far I've tested/works in win8:
sf x tekken (didn't work well in the consumer preview for me)
Zsnes win... yippy do lol...
And pcsx2 .

Yea, I tested PCSX2 with the consumer preview and had no issues.
(No issues except for the start screen being annoying )
