Can't get controls to work in racing games

I've been trying to play a lot of old racing games i played as a kid and almost every single racing game has the same issue, which is when i load into the actual racing the controls do not respond.
The games i've had issues with are as follows-
Need for speed undercover
Need for speed most wanted
Burnout 3 takedown

All of the Controls related to menus work while in races, but actually controlling the vehicle and driving never works.
(to note also the control setups for both need for speed games seemingly imply its built for wheels but i dont really know how to set up my regular dualshock for that)

For informations sake Im running V1.7.4562 of PCSX2, and this is my controller setup is a dualshock4 wireless (that i have plugged in cause its bluetooth is busted)
Sdl input, raw input, and dualsense are enabled though i dont know what those all do since im kinda new to this whole emulation thing
I also had the emulator automap the controls for it if that matters

If anybody else had this problem or knows whats going on itd be a really big help

Please post the contents of the emulog.txt file after the problem occurs. The file can be found in "My Documents\PCSX2\logs" for the installer version or in "PCSX2\logs" for the portable/binary version.
