Can't get pcsx2 to launch?
#1
I just got a new mac, and decided to give pcsx2 a go, however, I have the latest PCSX2 downloaded, yet whenever i load it up, it just loads up the terminal and nothing else. I have my bios and other things needed, but why can't my pcsx2 load up? I am using Big Sur, if I have missed anything, I am sorry.

In order to help you further with your problem, please make sure the following are all provided.
  • Your hardware specs - CPU, Graphics Card, Memory, Operating System.
  • The version of PCSX2 you are using.
  • Any non default settings you are using, such as speed hacks or presets.
  • Your GSdx graphics settings (a picture of the settings dialog is preferred)
  • What games you are trying to play and if you are playing them from ISO or DVD.

Thank You.

I'm using a Macbook Pro M1 Chip That's all I really know for my specs, I don't know how to really get them for Mac.

Build: PCSX2 Mac 0.9.7 Alpha - 2 July 2012

I cannot even set it up, it just gets to the console then doesn't load anything at all

it basically won't boot up the pcsx2, just shows the terminal and nothing else :-/ I'm still kind of new to mac, as it is my first time

it says bad cpu type when loading ./pcsx2 then the line just continues showing a terminal

You're using an outdated version
Try this : https://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Native-M...ting-Build
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Mobo : Asus PRIME B450-PLUS
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
RAM : 16 Go
