Can't play using Hardware Renderer pls help.

Well everything is in title.
I can't play Dragon Ball Z BT 3 using Direct3D9 (hardware) but i can play using Direct3D9 (software) but that is very slow like 15 fps.
Now the weird thing is that myb a year ago I played this game on this emulator using hardware renderer and i had 30-40 fps and now nothing is changed (no new cpu or gpu or anything except i did install Win 7 it was win xp back than) but it doesnt work.When i click boot i only get black screen and sometimes even my gpu will crash or at least i think gpu crashed as i cant move mouse or do anything so i have to button restart pc.

Please post the contents of the emulog.txt file after the problem occurs. The file can be found in "My Documents\PCSX2\logs" for the installer version or in "PCSX2\logs" for the portable/binary version.

I am not sure but does pcsx2 1.4.0 work on XP
If not then that's your reason why you get better speeds on WinXP

Older pcsx2 versions don't emulate a lot of things properly and as a result,depending on the game you may get more speed compared to a newer pcsx2 version where more things are emulated properly and require more power from your cpu(which means less speed on the same cpu)

What is your cpu\gpu?

Vsub here you can see my cpu/gpu (i know its insanely weak and all).But all i wanna know is why cant i play in Hardware renderer...Will myb installing older version of pcsx2 work?

So i installed 1.2.1 and its working perfectly fine now...tnx guys Laugh.
But im still curious what could make 1.4 version not work?

For nvidia gpu,it's better to use OpenGL.
If you set No Disk from the CDVD menu and then Syste=>Full Boot,do you still get black screen

Get this error when booting like you said.
"GS plugin failed to open.Your comuter may have insufficient resources or or incompatible hardware/drivers."

Perhaps you can track down when it stopped working.

i think that kind of antique GPU is unsupported now.
What Lighningterror linked you are the pcsx2 revisions you can try to point out where the issue started.

Start somewhere in the middle, if it works go +200 or 500 builds above and test that, if it doesn't crash go another +200 , if it does crash you go down half -150 ..etc until you find the correct build.
