Can't run games

just got the PCSX2, it runs fine, and controls work fine, but when i try to run a game by selecting the disc (see pic), the screen goes black and then goes back to the same screen. Any sollutions/ideas? The games I've tried are Burnout 3 and Duel Masters, but it doesn't look like there's any difference.

Please post your emulog. Also, you can directly boot the games through the GUI by making a ISO file and doing a fast boot.

tried booting it fast, and that solved it
