Earth Defense Force 1 (Monster Attack) and Earth Defense Force 2 (Global Defense Force) work in the same engine but, in order to keep the performance (i guess), Sandlot disabled v-sync and depth of field in the second game.
Not really a bright idea since the game performs practically the same (marginally better) but it have a great amount of screen tearing.
