Cannot Configure the Online mode. (DNS Error or Unable to Connect)
#1
Hello there!

I have a problem since 3/4 days now, am I'm starting to loose hope =/ I hope that by coming here, I will finally find an answer.

So, I'm trying to play MGO by following this tutorial : https://savemgo.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=490 but I'm having a lot of troubles, and it seems that my PCSX2 is refusing to connect me. I also tried this tutorial : http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-How-To-Play-Online-Guide still without success.

My configuration in the "Network Access Disc" is making a DNS error when I'm testing the connection :

And I don't know why, but in "More Details" my IP is 192.78.78.0 Instead of 192.168.1.50 and I think that this is what is causing me so much troubles. I really tried a lot of things like uninstalling Virtual Box , but I just can't fix that. And when I'm setting DNS and DHCP on auto mode, I can't even go further than the first step "Unable to connect, try again later"

I'm using Winpcap and set bridge mode in the Dev9 plugin. Also tried switch mode, I closed every apps that can interfere, I'm running PCSX2 as administrator, I have a french ISP (Orange (DMZ on my Computer and on PCSX2)), No firewall, I have r5350 PCSX2 (binaries version).
And my OS is Windows 8 Pro 64 Bits

Help me Please ! =(

(Sorry for my bad English, I'm french)

Well 192.78.78.0 and 192.168.1.50 are on completely different networks, so that would explain the DNS error I think. WHY it is like that I am not sure.

actually, the tutorial contains this :
Quote:So the point of me explaining all of this is to show you that PCSX2 can be VERY fickle at times..
It just requires a lot of PERSISTENCE.

It's "fickle" because the dev9 plugin is still buggy and unstable. those problems you encounter are to be expected, unfortunately.
