Cannot render at 1080p - Help!
#1
Hi guys, seem to be having trouble getting PCSX2 to render anything at 1080p. I've tried FF 12 and Dragon Quest 8 so far and no luck. It's pretty much the same issue here:

http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Can-t-make-it-1080p

Only the OP didn't get a solution (not that we know of since the thread has long been dead). I've used version 1.0.0 before, and I've managed to successfully get both FF12 and DQ8 working fine in 1080p, so I have no idea what I'm doing wrong this time.

It's a new computer I'm using atm:
i5 4670k
8gb ram
GTX 570
Windows 7

And what exactly is happening? Is the emulation not in fullscreen? Does it still look low-res?

At 4x the game is generally being rendered at a higher resolution than 1080p

It's pretty much at the same low res no matter what settings I choose (2x, 3x, 4x, 6x, windowed, fullscreen). Nothing makes a difference for the better.

Native was slightly fuzzier than 4x, that's the only difference!
Welcome to my world of confusion Smile

What am I doing wrong, guys? What other settings should I post up?

4x native is pretty much beyond 1080p. Just pick Custom and run it at 1080p that way, see if that works.

Looks pretty normal to me except compression artifacts everywhere from jpg.

For comparison shots, best to save as PNG for loessless.

Edit: You've not toggled FXAA on have you?
