Theres no point in that cos the internal rez is higher but the window will not project higher than 1264x672

The window size doesnt really matter, you can resize once you started your game. The internal res will be applied either way. For example the highest res my monitor supports is 1680x1050 but increasing the internal res past that still improves the image quality.
Specs:
CPU: C2D E8400 @ 3.6
GPU: GTX 560Ti 2Gb
MOB: Asus P5QL
RAM: Crucial 4Gb
OS: Windows 7 64bit/XP 32bit

Ok i just figured out wat is wrong, i use my pc thru a plasma HDTV and always have my desktop rez at 720p. When i ran the emu the window was sticking to this rez, when i upped desktop rez to 1080 the emu did aswell. The older beta`s used to adjust themselves like my PC games do when i run them.

So wats a really nice internal rez without going overkill Gamergeek ??

Well I noticed better image quality even when going from x3-x4 scaling which would be somewhere around 2000x1500-2500x2000. Altough this was a very minor diffrence. Perhaps somwhere around 50% higher than your monitor max res if your hardware can handle it.

It works the same way like in bigger picture; the larger the resolution, the better the image quality.

Just remember not all games respond well to upscale and less yet if it's not a multiple of the original. Sometimes is needed some experimentation to find values that not introduce image artifacts, vertical lines and so on.

I found 1080x1080 is good for many games I have played although not being an exact multiple, others need to be x2, x3 or x4... just the performance goes downhill very fast above x3 with my rig.

Ok thx, i settled on 2560x2048, 4xAA & with Skipdraw at 1. I am getting an amazing picture all running a smooth & constant 60fps thx to my i5 750@4Ghz Tongue This is on FFX btw, its the only game i play on pcsx2.
