man you need to change your CPU now it's ancient now change to 2nd i5 or i7 so you can use sse4 and AVX for modern gaming speeds.
otherwise you get nothing.

Yeah I've been meaning to but new CPU = new motherboard = new RAM because old RAM won't fit in new motherboard = new case because motherboard is too big = new computer. Can I do anything with what I have now?

nope the 2nd gen i5,i7 is not that big take a look at mine compare to an opened laptop's height it's 3/4 the height of my desktop.

btw you still can still do on your "Current" desktop try lighter games e.g. FFX,MvC2,MvSNK2,Harvest Moon(STH),Disgaea 1
