Changing Game Speed
#1
When I'm playing a game sometimes the game speed changes. This happens fairly often. As in, I'll be running the game at a normal speed, then it might slow down to half speed for a bit, then it might go to a higher than normal speed.

Is there some way to prevent this?

CPU: Intel Sandy Bridge i5 quadcore 3.0 ghz
Ram: DDr3 8gb
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti
OS: Windows 7

I'm running PCSX2 version 1.2.1

I've been running default setting, I have fiddled with them with no success.

I've mainly been playing Rachet and Clank 2(Which lags) and Dynasty Warriors 5(which doesn't lag very much) Both from ISO

  • The version of PCSX2 you are using.
  • Any non default settings you are using.

For a start, make sure you haven't bound any controls to Tab or F4, since the former is used for turbo/slowmo toggle and the latter for frame limiter toggle.

does it happen while you/the screen is standing still or when you move around and thousands of npc's appear?

What are your GS%/EE% readings in the title bar in window-mdoe?

This is probably a desktop or are you using a notebook?

Can you maybe provide the number of the i5? Just to be sure that 3.0 GHz is not the turbo-boost limit.

So far you don't use any speedhacks?
